The Last Coffee
A downloadable game
This project is a one-week school assignment, developed by a team of three, with the goal of creating a small playable prototype focused on applying core Game Design and Level Design techniques.
The main objective was not to produce a polished game, but to build a functional gameplay experience allowing a short walkthrough of a few minutes, designed to validate ideas quickly through playtesting.
During production, we focused on:
- Mission prototyping, using multiple Blueprints to create modular proto-missions
- Advanced level blocking, ensuring readable spaces and smooth player navigation
- Gameplay flow and pacing, guiding the player naturally through the environment
- Rapid iteration to test mechanics and level structure within a short production timeframe
The level was designed to support a clear progression, with a strong emphasis on player guidance through spatial design, rather than relying heavily on UI or scripted instructions.
This prototype serves as a proof of concept, demonstrating how mission logic, level layout, and gameplay systems can work together to create a coherent and engaging short experience.
